Project Description

The new fire station replaced the 1953-built Station 16 at Weber and McGuffey Roads in Columbus, Ohio. Construction included a new 3-bay, single-story 24,000 SF fire station for the City of Columbus. Fire Station 16 will have four transitional spaces to allow for decontamination before entry into the living quarters, public EMS space for walk-ins, a storm shelter and a direct capture exhaust removal system.

Construction also consisted of CMU, steel, and masonry structure. A storm shelter was constructed in the basement level to meet new Public Facilities building codes.
