Project Description
This project is a new 30,000 SF fire station consisting of a first floor, partial basement, equipment platform, and mezzanine, along with associated site work and infrastructure. This project includes the construction of an ICC-500 compliant tornado shelter within the building footprint for the use of the occupants during a tornado event.
Construction includes site work and grading, landscaping, utilities, concrete foundations, CMU/masonry walls, brick veneer, structural steel, cold-formed metal framing, engineered cold-formed metal roof trusses, carpentry, four-fold apparatus doors, bullet-resistant windows, aluminum storefronts and entrances, fire suppression, plumbing, furniture, fixtures, HVAC systems, station alerting, and fire station equipment, including a breathing air fill station, medical vending machines, and security systems.
