Project Description

This project involved constructing a 7-story mixed-use building at 222 West Lane Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. The building features 379 residential units, accommodating 889 beds, along with over 400 parking spaces. Before construction began, the existing apartment building and two smaller structures on the site were demolished.

The new building is divided into two construction types in a “podium” configuration. A basement level includes parking and building services, and vehicle ramps provide access to additional parking at levels 1 and 2. Retail space, residential lobbies, 2-story townhomes, and building services are located at levels 1 and 2, surrounding the parking. Levels 3 through 7 consist of for-rent student housing units and associated services. Unit sizes range from studios to 6-bedrooms, and each with a full kitchen and laundry appliances. Exterior amenity decks are provided at level 3, including one with a swimming pool. A smaller exterior roof deck is located at level 7. Interior amenities are also located throughout the building, primarily at levels 1, 3, and 7.

The building features 379 residential units, accommodating 889 beds, along with over 400 parking spaces.
