Project Description

The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Biospecimen Processing & Banking Core (Biopathology Center) is a 55,000 SF space utilized for Biobanking, which is the study of tissue or bodily fluids for research to better understand health and disease conditions. This space houses multiple state-of-the-art laboratories and biospecimen storage infrastructure used to support a variety of services such as biospecimen accessioning, processing, nucleic acid extraction, and digital pathology. The core purpose of this facility is to perform the preliminary research efforts that are requisite of broader, successful medical treatment options.
