Freestanding Emergency Departments

Project Description

OhioHealth Corporation is developing a network of freestanding emergency departments across central Ohio to improve care to the community. Elford constructed two emergency departments, both within a very aggressive time frames. The facilities are located in highly visible and active areas with easy access for patients/visitors. The floor plans and layouts of the facilities allow cross-functional teams to be more responsive and provide a more efficient experience for patients.

Each building is approximately 8,800 SF and staffed by emergency physicians 24/7. The new facilities are made up of eight private patient rooms and were designed with large windows to bring in ample natural light.
