PROJECT DESCRIPTION

A 22,000 SF expansion and renovation of the existing 18,077 SF 2nd floor in the West Wing of the University Hospital East facility. The  expanded facility meets new NFPA/FGI requirements and regulations, allows for additional surgical capacity, and consolidated imaging operational efficiency. The entire space was designed and built around improving patient experience with modalities specific to enhancing patient outcomes and plays a critical role in the Wexner Medical Center’s program.

The radiology suite includes a Siemens CT Go as well as a new Siemens Sola MRI. The OR Suite consists of three operating rooms and one hybrid OR complete with a robotic Pheno arm for imaging.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center is an existing hospital in Cambridge, OH. Elford was hired as the Construction Manager to build an addition to the existing hospital. This 13,300 SF addition is designated as the Cancer Center for the hospital and includes a 1,100 SF connector from the new space to the existing hospital. The Cancer Center is home to private and semi-private infusion bays for cancer patients to receive chemotherapy treatment, exam rooms, offices for hospital staff, and a state-of-the-art linear accelerator room. This new facility brings critical cancer care to the Eastern parts of Ohio that did not have these critical services previously.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project involved the construction of a new science laboratory building located on The Ohio State University’s College of Food Agriculture & Environmental Science (CFAES) campus in Wooster, Ohio. Prior to the construction of the new facility, additionsand alterations were made to the campus’s existing chilled water plant, as it was beyond capacity, and upgrades were necessary to accommodate new the project. The complete scope of work included the construction of the new science/laboratory building, the addition of new equipment and associated alterations to the chilled water system, and upgrades to Fisher Auditorium.

The new 55,700 SF facility accommodates entomology research. Undergraduate lab space is included in the new building to promote collaboration and to take advantage of common infrastructure. The project required multiple GMPs; one for the enabling chilled water system scope and one for the building construction.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project consisted of a two (2) story, 30,000 SF Medical Office Building (MOB) on the O’Bleness Hospital Campus. The new facility consolidates disparate primary care practices, accommodates the expansion of the Family Practice Residency Clinic, and includes a 5,000 SF shelled space to allow for future growth.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Reach is located on the 19 acer campus of White Castle’s new corporate headquarters. The 260-unit apartment complex also includes parking structures and a 20,000 SF community center for events and meetings.

The Reach was constructed in two phases. Phase 1 completed two new wood framed 3-story walkups and one 4-story building with a total of 94,162 SF and 82 units. Phase 2 completed the remaining 178 units.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Broadview offers a high-end, boutique apartment experience while offering direct connectivity to the restaurants, shops, and entertainment of Grandview Avenue.

The 64 units with approximately 61,000 SF feature one bedroom, two bedroom, and penthouse floorplans in three levels of apartments over a podium with a sub-grade garage. The high-end finishes include stainless steel appliances, rich quartz counters, custom kitchen islands, custom lighting, faux-wood flooring, washers/dryers, and ten feet ceilings throughout. The project’s amenities include a lounge with mini-bar, a reception lobby, an outdoor patio and grilling area, and a beautifully designed courtyard (with fire pits, seating areas, extensive hardscaping, and landscaping). An underground parking garage offers secure access in a climate-controlled environment.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The new 18th Street Center replaced the existing childcare facilities and provides infant, toddler, preschool, and limited kindergarten care for children of Nationwide Children’s Hospital staff. The project was constructed in two phases and is built on the site of the previous center and the adjacent NCH owned parking lot. The program included comprehensive daycare services, playgrounds, drop off, and staff parking lot.

The existing center maintained continuous operations during construction. Once the newly constructed Phase 1 areas were completed and occupied, Phase 2 work commenced with the demolition of the existing center and completion of the childcare center and new staff parking lot.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This new 4-story wood structure facility is located in the heavy urban center of The Ohio State University campus. The complex has a total of 127 beds across 45 units consisting of one, two and three bedrooms. Two preexisting apartment structures were demolished to accommodate the footprint of the new facility. The facility features a gated first level parking garage and 3 levels of apartments. Each apartment contains access to exterior balconies and common courtyard with amenities including a resident lounge area and computer center.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

A new 6-story building with two below-grade floors for private parking and necessary MEP equipment rooms. The first floor is for retail space, associated public parking, management office, entrance lobby, and utility rooms. The second through sixth floor are residential with an open amenity deck, housing a pool and lounge areas. There is a total of 154 residential units (288 beds) with a combination of 1,2,3, and 4 bedroom units, each between 425 SF and 1,340 SF.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project features 5 new apartment buildings consisting of 190 units and totaling 176,180 SF. An existing building on-site was retrofitted into a 5,020 SF Clubhouse and a 4th floor rooftop terrace and lounge area is included as part of the property’s Building 4.
