Boston IVF is one of the largest and most experienced fertility networks in the United States, with more than 100,000 babies born since 1986. This project consisted of approximately 15,100 SF of existing core and shell space renovated into medical office space at the White Castle Office Building 2.

This project included the demolition of the existing 24,000 SF Linden Community Center, which was originally constructed in 1951, construction of the new 50,000 SF Community Center facility, and redevelopment of the 19.5 Acre park.  Elford reconstructed the new building and incorporated the bricks from the original building.  The new park features a spray ground, teaching kitchen, gymnastics room, walking paths, recording studio, full-size high school gym, medical partner space, multiple classrooms for community-wide youth learning, and a new, larger parking lot.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project provided tenant improvement of the 4th and 5th floors. As the General Contractor, Elford delivered 54,000 SF of new drywall, acoustics, and general trades packages.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project included the installation of a new 23,000 SF 3-story structural steel-framed chiller plant wrapped in insulated metal panels and storefront glazing with an auger cast pile foundation system. The building includes chillers, pumps, controls, mechanical piping, and an electrical substation typing into the existing distribution system to support the needs of the future expansion of Ohio University’s Athens campus. The project is located in the heart of campus housing adjacent to classroom buildings.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project for the Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority included an 11,000 SF remodel of an existing 9,000 SF daycare into a 10 unit apartment complex with off street parking.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project took what was once a 50,000 SF state-of-the-art movie theater in the Columbus Arena District and converted it into a custom office space for Nationwide Insurance’s innovation center, The CoOperative.  The new space features two levels of innovative work spaces, a research lab for user experience observations, conference rooms, a large, open main circulation area, and new windows and skylights to allow natural light to illuminate the entire office.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The historic Brookside Golf and Country Club, founded in 1927, expanded and renovated their clubhouse including a fine dining room. The project also included the creation of a new casual pub space offering freestanding tables and high-back cozy booths. Additional renovations included the restrooms, meeting rooms and clubhouse lounge. The interior finishes throughout the renovated rooms comprise upscale woods, masonry and textiles to match the dignified atmosphere of the facility. A spacious patio wraps around the clubhouse and is ideal for hosting hundreds of guests in the shade of the full-grown trees on the 260 acres of the 18-hole championship golf course.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Renovation and remodel of 2,433 SF into a wine bar and restaurant along the busy High Street corridor. The comfy, contemporary environment features natural light, exposed brick, a custom-built bar, seating area, restrooms and kitchen. A temperature-controlled wine cellar, located in the middle of the space, can hold more than 200 labels when fully stocked. Four Enomatic wine dispensers are located throughout the space, allowing patrons to sample up to 72 different wines. The kitchen accommodates food preparation and storage including scullery area and cashier station for wait staff.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Elford has enjoyed a longstanding relationship with Abercrombie & Fitch. Our work has been across several brands including Abercrombie, Gilly Hicks, Hollister and Ruehl. These projects included unique interior and exterior finishes which required close coordination with the Architect and Owner. In addition to managing Elford’s work and subcontractors, Elford coordinated the work of the Owner’s specialty contractors and vendors. We also provided value engineering items which accelerated schedules and enabled early completion of projects, providing savings to the Owner. These projects required careful coordination of the delivery of construction materials with other tenants to minimize use of loading docks and elevators in operating malls.
