PROJECT DESCRIPTION

A 58,445 SF interior office tenant fit-out for BakerHostetler’s Columbus office on floors 10-12 in a downtown urban office building. The reception area is encrusted in light marble and rich, dark walnut. A collection of thin slats of angled wood are located behind the receptionist, offering privacy to the conference rooms behind. All of the wood in the office is from two walnut trees grown in the southern US. Instead of slicing planks, the trees were spiraled resulting in a long grain traveling from floor to ceiling where wood has been placed.

A 30,000-lb., free-standing marble staircase is located in the center of the office with a collection of Chihuly glass pieces on pedestals underneath. The employee dining and lounge area overlooks a view of the Scioto riverfront. Construction was completed as an occupied building.
