PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This 134,576 SF, three-story, urban high school was completed in 1922 and is a contributing building in the East Broad Street Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

A complete building renovation and a 38,215 SF addition for the overall 172,790 SF three-story school on a 19-acre urban site. Renovations included all new MEP systems, roofing and finishes. The addition is masonry bearing wall construction, single ply membrane roofing, masonry veneer to match the existing building and includes a competition and auxiliary gym with wood flooring, locker rooms, a weight room and mechanical room. An open atrium space with skylights and aluminum curtain walls separates the existing building from the addition and provides a main entrance and central circulation area.
